Greenville-based ChartSpan, the largest chronic care management (CCM) provider in the U.S., acquired Validic, a medical data collection program.
ChartSpan supports patients with chronic diseases. It is a virtual medical branch of the user’s health care provider. ChartSpan allows for around-the-clock access to nurses and other professionals. Validic is a major health network platform. Its database connects over 700 devices and health apps to large organizations and health systems.
With the combined resources, ChartSpan said it will provide more efficient care for health programs. These programs include chronic care management, advanced primary care management, remote patient monitoring and custom programs. ChartSpan anticipates new opportunities to leverage patient-generated health data with more personal care.

According to ChartSpan, users can expect lower costs from hospitalization and emergency room visits.
