The public has a chance to review plans being developed by the Airport Area Planning Study design team on April 25 and 26 in Room 104B at the Greenville Convention Center at 1 Exposition Dr.
The workshops run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day and will involve city of Greenville planners, designers, market specialists, and engineers who are working with the community to develop design plans for areas in and around the Airport District.
Those interested in taking part in the planning stages for the study also have the option of dropping in between 5 and 6 p.m. to hear a summary of and comment on plans.
What is the Airport Area Planning Study?
Set to be completed in 2023, the study will combine the city’s economic development vision with the logistical requirements of the Greenville Airport Commission. The 15-year comprehensive strategy for the area will also include recommendations for land use, development, infrastructure, and connectivity.
The Airport Study Area includes the Greenville Convention Center and the surrounding area bordered by I-385, Haywood Road, Highway 276/Laurens Road and Pleasantburg Drive.
