Greenville-based RealtyLink announced at a May 14 groundbreaking that Phase 1 of Spartan Tradeport, a new $43 million, 42-acre industrial park near the junction of interstates 26 and 85, is now under construction.
The new park is located at 720 Zimmerman Road in Spartanburg County and will incorporate two 230,000-square-foot buildings that can be configured to meet a variety of space needs.
The complex will also feature 316 employee parking spaces and 65 loading dock spaces per building. Plans also call for 2,000 square feet of office space.
The project will fill a key need for industrial tenants looking to locate in Spartanburg County, according to Kyle Sox, vice president of industrial development at OneSpartanburg Inc.
The two buildings in phase one hit “the sweet spot” in terms of space needs for many of the smaller, high-tech firms OneSpartanburg aims to recruit, Sox said.
The project is part of about three million square feet of industrial space under development by RealtyLink, according to principal Neil Wilson.
