Greer’s Trade Street Social is moving closer to opening.
Although an opening date is not yet set and some permitting is still pending, there’s a lot to look forward to in the near future. The 6,000 square-foot space will offer three golf simulators available by reservation, a casual kitchen and cocktails. Reservations for the simulators can be booked for up to two hours with a maximum of six people per simulator.
General manager Stacy Wagner said the team was looking to address a gap in entertainment venues in downtown Greer. Wagner added that the owners of Innovative Hospitality and Development, which owns Trade Street Social, experienced simulators in their travels and felt they would be right for the space.’
Trade Street Social menu
The menu offers crowd-pleasing favorites including shrimp tacos, flatbreads, salads and Bavarian pretzels. IHD wanted to curate a menu that was well executed at high speed, keeping the simulator time slots in mind. If a guest chooses the one-hour booking, they can still get a meal in that timespan without feeling rushed.
The bar menu will have all the classics, plus high-end spirits. They are open to guest suggestions.
“We want to have what the people want so if someone’s going to continue to come back in that door and they’re like, ‘Hey, I really wish you had this 25-year scotch,’ We’ll get it,” Wagner said. “We’re able to evolve the concept into something that people really enjoy coming to on a regular basis.”
About Innovative Hospitality and Development
IHD has been targeting the county’s smaller markets, renovating historic structures in Fountain Inn and Woodruff. For Trade Street Social, the team wanted to keep the bones of the building but upfit the space. The ceiling bares exposed wood while the wallpaper features a subtle geometric golf club design.
Wagner said the team didn’t want to overdo the golf decor but did want to be intentional with the aesthetic in the space’s details. Wagner joined the team in January and has a background in hotels with Omni Hotels and Resorts.
“This has been such a labor of love,” she said. “It’s such a great company that we’re working and the staff that we’ve brought in is going to be so incredible. We’re just really excited to see it full of all of the local community.”
