United Community has earned its 11th J.D. Power Award in the last 16 years.
The bank was recently named first in Retail Banking Customer Satisfaction in the Southeast by the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Retail Banking Satisfaction Study. The comprehensive study of the retail banking industry analyzes customer satisfaction with their primary financial institution.
In the 2025 study, United Community was also ranked No. 1 in Trust and No. 1 in People.
Lynn Harton, chairman and CEO of United Community, said the recognition comes directly from the people the bank serves every day, which makes it especially valuable.
“I’m proud of our team — they’re the ones who build genuine relationships with customers and truly care about helping them succeed,” Harton said. “That’s what banking should be about, and it’s gratifying to see that approach connecting with so many people throughout the Southeast.”
Responses from 109,724 retail banking customers belonging to more than 150 of the largest banks in the country were used for J.D. Power’s 2025 study. For more information, visit jdpower.com/business/retail-banking-study-1.
