On Dec. 13, Village Launch awarded a total of $125,000 to five local entrepreneurs.
The businesses were awarded funding with the goal of accelerating their growth. Village Launch is part of the Mill Village Ministries collective, which exists to provide guidance and assistance to up-and-coming entrepreneurs.
- The Clean Cupcake, a bakery, by Samantha Brown, $10,000
- Full Traction, a trucking business by Javela and Steven Singleton, $50,000
- The Drive Smart Academy, a driving instruction business by JaCinda Smith, $30,000
- Corporate Stitch, an embroidery business by Dionne Sandiford, $25,000
- Toni and Tucker Co., a clothing business by Toni Carter, $10,000
“We’re thrilled to celebrate these incredible entrepreneurs and to share in the impact our community makes possible,” said Rhonda Rawlings, Mill Village Ministries community director, in a news release. “The Village Launch Market showcases the spirit of collaboration and empowerment that fuels small business success.”
