On Jan. 13, Clutch Coffee Bar announced on it social media that it would soon be taken over by Dutch Bros Coffee. The post noted that its final day would be Jan. 16.
A spokesperson from the Oregon-based Dutch Bros confirmed the news Jan. 14. Clutch Coffee has Upstate locations on East North Street in Greenville and on Boiling Springs Road in Boiling Springs.
“Dutch Bros is planning to acquire Clutch Coffee Bar and, following a short closure and renovation period, plans to reopen 20 locations across North and South Carolina as Dutch Bros shops,” said the spokesperson.
“As a fellow brand built on human connection, we deeply respect what the Clutch Coffee Bar leadership team has built and look forward to building on that strong foundation in the Carolinas. We’re excited to continue expanding across the country as we work toward our long-term goal of 2,029 shops in 2029.”
