If you’re looking for an old-school sandwich to fix your lunchtime cravings, there’s a new place to check out.
The Walkabout is a grab-and-go spot that has just opened its doors beside Fluor Field in downtown Greenville’s West End.
Located next door to The Bellwether Public House at 941 S. Main St., it will be open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The name, The Walkabout, is an homage to the global perspective chef Taylor Montgomery aims to bring to the menu options.
“Having had the privilege to explore cities across the globe, I’ve always believed that the best way to understand a culture is through its food,” Montgomery said. “The Walkabout allows us to share our whole team’s enthusiasm for global flavors with the Greenville community.”
Created by the team behind Urban Wren and The Bellwether, The Walkabout’s options range from side salads and a soup of the week priced at $4 to sandwiches ranging from $12-$16.
