Reid’s Fine Foods shuttered its doors in downtown Greenville over the holidays, posting a sign confirming the closure on Dec. 28.
“After careful consideration, we have decided that it is in our best interest to close our store,” the sign read.
The store served as an upscale grocery store, wine bar and restaurant at the corner of West Washington and North Laurens streets. The Charlotte-based chain opened the location in October 2020. Caviar & Bananas previously occupied the space before closing in 2019.
It was the first location to open outside of Charlotte, where four stores remain open.
