Whataburger has broken ground along Woodruff Road in Greenville, one of its eight planned locations to open in the Upstate.
The Texas-based burger franchise is slated to open in the summer at 1466 Woodruff Road.

- 537 E. Main St., Duncan, summer 2025
Greenville Chamber CEO Carlos Philips attended the groundbreaking along with Whataburger’s senior director of field marketing, Adam Worthley and growth market leader Preston Hughes. The company also donated $5,000 to Harvest Hope Food Bank, an organization that combats food insecurity in South Carolina.
