In its rapid expansion across the Upstate, Whataburger broke ground on Main Street in Spartanburg as part of its eight planned Upstate installments.
“We’ve been overwhelmed by the warm welcome we’ve received as we prepare to break ground Spartanburg,” Preston Hughes, Whataburger’s Growth Market Leader, said. “With this groundbreaking ceremony, we’re marking the start of an exciting journey to bring our bold, fresh flavors to the neighborhood.”
This groundbreaking comes just a week after the groundbreaking for a Woodruff Road location in Greenville.
Whataburger in Spartanburg will be located at 1941 E. Main St. and is expected to open fall 2024.
There are eight Whataburger locations planned across the Upstate by mid-2025 in Greenville, Spartanburg, Easley, Duncan, Boiling Springs, Anderson and Mauldin.
