Americans for the Arts, a nonprofit organization for advancing the arts and arts education, recently announced that Milliken & Company was selected by the Business Committee for the Arts (BCA), a division of Americans for the Arts, for the BCA 10: Best Businesses Partnering with the Arts in America for 2014 list.
Milliken & Company was honored because of its support of the arts featured through its artistic decorations and support of art organizations such as the Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg. Additionally, Milliken is exploring integrating the arts into the work of its scientists to inspire creative and scientific learning in the workplace.
The company also funds the STEAM Teacher’s Institute, which promotes arts integration in STEM (science, technology, education, math) education.
