Milliken & Company acquired the assets of Ontera Modular Carpets Pty Ltd, an Australian-based subsidiary of Cavalier Corporation Limited.
The acquisition is part of Milliken’s global focus of growing its floor covering division, which the company says is noted for great market potential.
“Ontera and Milliken share a long history,” Joe Salley, president and CEO of Milliken & Company, headquartered in Spartanburg, said in a release. “Our partnership succeeds because of similar unwavering commitments to quality, innovation and environmental stewardship. This acquisition is a natural progression of our relationship.”
Founded in 1985, Ontera is headquartered and has operations in Northmead, Sydney. The company has licensed Milliken technology for more than 30 years.
