Mae D. Jones was appointed as executive director of the Phillis Wheatley Community Center.
She has a background in nonprofit leadership, operations and community development. She served as executive vice president of the Black Women’s Health Imperative and executive director of 100 Black Men of DeKalb County.
Jones launched her career with Liberty Life Insurance Co. in Greenville before joining Atlanta Life Insurance Co., where she served as assistant vice president of operations for six years.
She is a graduate of Webster University and Capella University.
