Rebecca Mitlin recently joined Jeff Dezen Public Relations (JDPR) as part of the company’s Fall 2019 Executive Management Assistance Program (EMAP).
The EMAP program, a paid internship lasting 12-15 weeks, pairs college-level students with a senior executive, giving these students a chance to learn while adding value to client work. Interns get hands-on experience contributing to the firm’s client service, and strategic media relations campaigns.
Mitlin graduated from Clemson University in May 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a minor in Sociology. Mitlin is now pursuing her master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications at Georgetown University while staying involved in the Upstate. The newest Junior Research Fellow at Clemson’s Division of Public Safety, Mitlin tracks social media for potential security threats to the public. Mitlin interned with niNe Magazine as a social media intern as well, managing multiple platforms and their strategies.
