NextGen’s inaugural Innovation Exchange scheduled for May 13 will bring together 15 startups from all over the country to Greenville to showcase how they’re using technology — specifically artificial intelligence — to solve a variety of business challenges.
NextGEN Executive Director Eric Weissmann said the curated group of startups were selected from among 54 applicants by representatives from industry giants BMW Manufacturing, Michelin, GE Vernova and Current who formed NextGEN’s BigCo Innovation committee.
Weissmann said the idea behind Innovation Exchange is to connect vetted startups with seasoned corporate leaders, other startups and founders, investors and startup ecosystem supporters to explore how innovation is addressing real business problems and priorities.
This initial exchange is specifically focusing on how the selected startups are using AI to solve a variety of business challenges, from identifying potential weak points in complex supply chains to taking voice input from frontline workers and converting it to usable data.
