Wide Open West (WOW!), a broadband service provider, acquired a new field operations and warehouse facility in Greenville County to support the company’s expansion to the area.
WOW! currently provides services in 15 markets, primarily in the Midwest and Southeast. The new development will begin with construction in Mauldin, according to the company.
No formal address for the expansion site has yet been announced.
The new operations and warehouse facility comes a little more than a year after the company announced a more than $30 million investment to bring its fiber network to more than 28,000 homes in southern Greenville County.
The investment, which includes offering service to homes in Five Forks, Fountain Inn, Mauldin, Piedmont and Simpsonville, is part of WOW’s plan to extend its service area to 400,000 homes by 2027.

Along with leasing a new facility, WOW! named Dominick Silvio as its new regional director of operations for Greenville County. Silvio will oversee the launch of the company’s new services in the area.
“We are extremely excited and fortunate to be able to offer residents of Greenville County the opportunity to enjoy our innovative products and quality service, supported by an award-winning customer care team,” Silvio said.
WOW! anticipates its services will become available soon to residents and businesses throughout the county.
