EPC Power has expanded its presence in Upstate South Carolina by opening a new manufacturing facility in Fountain Inn on July 15.
The California-based company produces advanced power conversion systems used for artificial intelligence data centers and grid applications. The 167,000-square-foot facility at 111 Southcase Boulevard in Fountain Inn will nearly triple the company’s production capacity and create 275 new jobs.
“Our expansion in South Carolina is a direct response to the AI infrastructure investment and power demands we’re seeing worldwide,” said Jim Fusaro, CEO of EPC Power. “By tripling our capacity, we’re giving data center and utility operators access to more critical components domestically, which de-risks their expansion plans and strengthens supply chain resilience.”
EPC Power established its first operations in South Carolina in 2022 with the opening of a manufacturing facility in Mauldin. The new Fountain Inn site represents the company’s third location in the United States.
The manufacturing facility in Fountain Inn is expected to reach full production capacity later this month.
