Florida-based Mainsail Lodging & Development recently took over the management of the Spartanburg Marriott.
The Spartanburg Marriott features 247 guest rooms and suites, more than 30,000 square feet of meeting space, various dining venues and other amenities. The nine-story hotel is located at 299 N. Church. St. in downtown Spartanburg.
The management agreement for the Spartanburg Marriott took effect Feb. 4. Jimmy Gibbs, majority owner of the Spartanburg Marriott, said Mainsail Lodging & Development brings a distinguished depth of operational expertise and brand stewardship to the hotel.
“We are confident this collaboration will drive strong performance while further elevating the hotel’s reputation as a premier and flagship destination for business travel, meetings, and events in Spartanburg, throughout the Upstate, and across South Carolina,” Gibbs said.
Mainsail Lodging & Development specializes in the management and development of hotels, corporate furnished housing and resort properties across the Southeast and Caribbean. Joe Collier, president of Mainsail Lodging & Development, said the company is pleased to welcome the Spartanburg Marriott into the company’s growing portfolio of managed properties.
“As a trusted hotel management partner, our leadership team has been on property for full immersion, working closely with ownership and associates to understand the hotel, the market and opportunities for future enhancements,” Collier said.
