Harbor Freight Tools is building office space, development labs and a design warehouse near Piedmont along Interstate 85.
The low cost tools and hardware retailer has invested $30 million in the 76,171-square-foot facility, located at 130 Frontage Road in Anderson County. It is expected to open in late 2025.

The tool and equipment retailer was founded in 1977 and has more than 1,500 stores across the U.S. There are eight retail locations in the Upstate in Greenville, Easley, Anderson, Seneca, Simpsonville, Greer, Spartanburg and Boiling Springs.
