Last week, word of Nic & Norman’s hit Greenville by way of Augusta Street. It seems the city may be getting a double dose of Hollywood soon with the arrival of a Dave’s Hot Chicken in Greenville on Woodruff Road.
The restaurant chain was founded in a parking lot in East Hollywood by four friends – Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, Tommy Rubenyan and Gary Rubenyan – in 2017. The business began by gaining traction with the area’s late-night crowd. It would come to gain a cult following that eventually led to more than 100 locations nationally. In 2021, it caught the attention of rapper Drake, who became an investor.
Guests can expect fried chicken fare, ranging from tenders to sliders at varying spice levels. The restaurant also offers fries, slaw, mac and cheese, and cheese fries.
The Woodruff Road location is next to Zaxby’s, just east of Interstate 385. It will be the company’s second store in South Carolina, with one already in Columbia.
