Throughout the school year, 99 students were employed as interns by 37 different companies.
“Access to talent and workforce continues to be a top concern for area employers and the LaunchGVL initiative plays a key role in directly addressing this issue,” said Greenville Chamber President and CEO Carlos Phillips. “Thank you to the many community partners who help to make this life-changing program available.”
During the program, Power:Ed, a philanthropy of SC Student Loan, awarded five $1,000 scholarships to the following students:
- Senior Olivia Bonilla – Greer High School
- Senior Sebastian Castrejon-Roman – Carolina High School
- Senior Rylie DeWeese – Greenville High School
