After a brief soft-opening period, Judson Mill’s first dedicated food concepts, Mill City Kitchen and Mill City Wine, have confirmed its opening date on Sept. 20.
The dual eateries coming to the Judson neighborhood Southwest of Greenville, will be operated by business partners and longtime buddies, Jason Donnelly and John Shepherd, but they are two separate restaurants and will operate on distinctly different models.
Mill City Kitchen utilizes a quick-service model spotlighting a boisterous menu including pizzas, appetizers, salads, desserts and “Blue Plate Specials,” which will function as a meat-and-three.
Mill City Wine is charcuterie and small plates offering a more intimate dining experience and retail component. For small plates, the restaurant will offer options beef tartare and vitello tonnato, a decadent antipasto made with sliced veal. Currently, the business offers over 100 wines for sale.

Donnelly and Shepherd first met over 25 years ago in Atlanta. Since then, they have remained friends ultimately deciding to go into this pursuit in 2022.
The dual eateries will open Sept. 20 at 701 Easley Bridge Road in Judson Mill. Mill City Kitchen and Mill City Wine will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. then Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The wine bar will have extended hours as needed.
