Milo’s Tea Co., a beverage business based in Alabama that crafts brewed tea and homemade lemonade, will invest $53 million to expand operations at its Moore facility, the company announced Nov. 19.
The investment at 6684 U.S. Highway 221 is expected to create 80 jobs and includes installing an additional production line and enhancements.
“Milo’s is a people-first company, so the talented workforce in South Carolina’s Upstate is a significant draw for us,” said Tricia Wallwork, Milo’s Tea chair and CEO. “The remarkable people, coupled with ease of access to the East Coast, high-quality water, and the outstanding support of state and local economic development partners, reaffirm that we made the right decision to put down roots in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.”
Operations at the Moore location are expected to begin in November 2024.
