Innovative Hospitality and Development has purchased Warehouse at Vaughn’s and plans improvements and a name change.
Thomas Wirthlin opened the downtown Simpsonville food hall in November 2020. The sale includes the business only, not the building at 109 W. Trade St.
It will be rebranded as Vaughn’s Food Hall.
IHD owns the majority of the concepts inside the food hall, including Taphouse, Bourbon Street Burgers and Anchor Raw Bar, among several others. It does not own Tacos & Bla Bla Bla or Outlawed Ramen.
A ribbon-cutting and grand opening will be held April 2 to celebrate the new ownership and name.
“Like most food halls, Vaughn’s was originally set up with individually-owned concepts, so each one was its own business that operated independently,” said Bryan Beal of IHD. “Coming in as a single ownership group allows us to run all of the concepts together under one umbrella.”
A new QR code ordering system has been launched to allow customers to access menus and order from any of the IHD-owned eateries on a single tab and pay just once.
Other planned changes and renovations include:
- Putting the entire property under one liquor license so guests can take drinks outside.
- Consolidating Humble Pie’s menu.
- Creating different offerings for the Bourbon Street Burgers menu to differentiate it from other locations.
- Resealing the parking lot and repainting the lines.
- Adding TVs outside, as well as turf and new mulch to the backyard area.
- Hanging new lights in the backyard.
- Adding new sand to the sandbox and concrete blocks along the fence.
- Replacing boards on the picnic tables.
- Changing patio and indoor seating next to Anchor Raw Bar to open seating instead of table service.
IHD also plans to finish the bathrooms in the back, add an outdoor sink and eventually renovate the Tiki Light Lounge.
