Carolina Alliance Bank announced Tuesday, Jan. 9, it hired David Swofford to serve as vice president and mortgage lender of its Spartanburg office.
Swofford has more than 13 years of banking experience primarily in Spartanburg County and the Upstate.
Carolina Alliance, headquartered in Spartanburg, touted Swofford’s “extensive knowledge” in mortgage banking and his experience focusing on new customer acquisition, client retention, excellent customer service, and product solutions.
“I am delighted to announce that David has joined Carolina Alliance,” said David Barnett, president of Carolina Alliance Bank’s Western Region. “David brings an intimate knowledge of the Spartanburg/Upstate market, a wealth of experience, and a proven track record of personal success.”
Swofford graduated from the University of South Carolina, where he earned a degree in finance and business management.
He has served as a board member of the Boys and Girls Club of the Upstate since 2013, board member of Spartanburg Young Professionals, and a volunteer council member for the United Way of the Piedmont.
Swofford is an active member of First Presbyterian of Spartanburg and serves on the church’s finance committee.
