New development projects will be presented at the city of Greenville’s project preview meeting June 24.
Attendees can learn about and provide feedback on proposed developments before they are reviewed by the city’s Design Review Board, Planning Commission or Board of Zoning Appeals. The drop-in style meeting will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Prisma Health Welcome Center at Unity Park.
Here’s a look at some of the projects on the agenda for the meeting.
County Square townhomes and rooftop cinema
The $1 billion County Square development has two new elements that will be presented at the project preview meeting.
Proposed plans include a 48-unit townhome project along President Street and Claussen Avenue. A minor subdivision application for the townhomes will be reviewed by the city’s Planning Department staff.
An outdoor rooftop cinema on top of a parking garage is also proposed for development. RocaPoint Partners, the project’s developer, will need to acquire a special exemption permit from the Board of Zoning Appeals for this element of the project.

Enclave Laurens
A final development plan has been created for the first phase of a major mixed-use development known as Enclave Laurens. The project is the brainchild of McCall Capital, a Greenville-based private equity firm.
The project is proposed to be constructed on an approximately 13-acre site at the intersection of Laurens Road, North Pleasantburg Drive and Airport Road. Multi-family residential units, retail shops, restaurants, office space and a hotel will be constructed as part of the development.
The project’s phase one development plan will be reviewed by the city’s Planning Commission.
Pendleton Street townhomes
A new townhome development has been proposed along Pendleton Street. Details about the development will be provided at the project preview meeting before being presented to the city’s Design Review Board.
Forty-four townhomes would be constructed on five parcels, including the property at 1172 Pendleton St., with an existing commercial building. The 1.5-acre vacant property facing Pendleton Street between Aiken Street and South Textile Avenue would also be used for the development.
