Spartanburg-based Denny’s Corp. has announced it will give away free meals.
The family-dining chain said it will treat customers who sign up for its new online and mobile ordering platform Denny’s on Demand by Jan. 31 to a Build Your Own Grand Slam.
Denny’s launched the platform in May 2017 and said it has filled 800,000 takeout or delivery orders via the digital order provider Olo.
“We launched Denny’s on Demand as a way to serve our guests exactly how and where they wanted to be served, offering greater convenience without compromising on quality or variety,” said John Dillon, chief marketing officer for Denny’s. “The response from our guests to-date has been incredible, and we are excited about the developments we have planned in 2018 that will enhance the experience even more.”
“To celebrate and extend a little New Year cheer, we’re offering a free Build Your Own Grand Slam, one of the most popular dishes sold through online ordering with more than 7,000 different combinations available, to thank America for dining with us, wherever and however they choose to do so with Denny’s on Demand,” Dillon added.
The company said in order to receive the complimentary Build Your Own Grand Slam, customers must sign up and place an order through the company’s website or app available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Denny’s said that in addition to rewarding new users of Denny’s on Demand, it will extend its thanks to diners who helped inspire the launch of the platform.
The company has arranged a special musical tribute in partnership with Upstate musician Edwin McCain.
Denny’s said its fans can visit youinspired.us to see if one of their tweets “pleading for Denny’s delivery” is featured in the tribute.
“Those inspirational tweets included in the exclusive video are eligible to claim a reward for helping make their Denny’s on Demand dream a growing reality for America,” the company said.
Delivery is now available at more than 40 percent of its locations nationwide, the company said.
Denny’s has more than 1,700 franchised, licensed, and company-owned restaurants in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, New Zealand, Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Guam, the United Arab Emirates, Curacao, El Salvador, and the Philippines.
