Mauldin-founded HipBurger opened its third location July 21 at 896 Tiger Blvd. in Clemson.
The restaurant – which serves burgers, nuggets and milkshakes – moved into the location formerly occupied by a Subway in University Square Shopping Center. The business was founded by Daniel Knowlton in Mauldin in 2019 as a food truck, and opened its first brick-and-mortar location in 2020 before expanding to Anderson in 2023.
“Opening in Clemson just felt right,” Knowlton said in a news release. “You’ve got the lake right there, the growing foodie scene, the diversity of the university, and a real energy that makes this place special.”
