Designs for Carmella’s Cafe and Dessert Bar‘s location in downtown Greenville have been submitted to the city’s Design Review Board.

According to the documents, the restaurant will occupy 355 S. Main St., Suite A, and the 2,395-square-foot space will feature:
- A white storefront in place of the aluminum.
- Double wood doors adorned with flowering vines at its two entrances.
- An off-white aluminum trellis decorated with small twinkle lights and flowering vines.
- Trellis covered seating area.
The application was submitted by Christopher McCarthy, an architect based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
Carmella’s announced Jan. 26 it would be opening in the Camperdown development. The restaurant has another location in downtown Charleston.
