According to a social media announcement, Eighth State Brewing is closing after six years. The brewery located at 400 Augusta St. plans to remain open until the end of September.
The taproom recently added chef Conner Hinderks to ramp up food offerings.
This is a developing story. For now, here’s Eighth State Brewing’s announcement:
“We want to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for your support, business, and friendship over the past 6 years. During this time, The Eighth State has grown to become a cherished part of the Greenville and South Carolina beer scenes, and we couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you.
However, not all journeys are meant to last forever, and it’s with a heavy heart that we announce our time at The Eighth State is coming to an end.
We plan to remain open through the end of the month, and we’d love for you to stop by, share a beer, and reminisce with us. Additionally, our remaining inventory is now available on our store for purchase, with pickups needed by September 28th.
Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives, whether it was in person or through one of our beers from afar. We’ll always cherish the memories and the community we’ve built together.”
