A new culinary concept will open at the Greenville Downtown Airport this summer.
Hangar 28 Kitchen & Events will occupy the former Runway Cafe location at 21 Airport Road Extension. Final renovations are currently underway on the South Ramp restaurant and hangar space.
“We want families to feel welcome, businesses to feel supported, and visitors to feel connected to Greenville’s vibrant and growing food scene,” said Trish Ballentine, chef and owner of Hangar 28.
The new restaurant will serve a daily lunch menu featuring scratch-made handhelds and shareable plates. A rotating selection of weekly specials will be available, along with weekend breakfast. Diners will also be able to enjoy handcrafted cocktails, wine and beer selections from the restaurant’s full-service bar.
Private charter catering services will be available for guests flying in and out of the Greenville Downtown Airport. Hangar 28 will also feature a 3,500-square-foot event space with views of the airport’s active runways.
