LTO Burger Bar is reopening in mid-July under the new name LTO Burger & Bites at 2541 N. Pleasantburg Dr.
The rebrand comes as the restaurant is shifting to a broader menu concept that aims to “welcome a wide demographic of customers,” according to SC Hospitality Group, which runs the concept.
The full menu has yet to be announced, but the original LTO menu focused on burgers with unique names and even more unique flavor combinations, such as the Grateful Garcia (field mushrooms, bacon, whipped blue cheese and steak sauce), Piedmont Mullet ’85 (sloppy joe chili, Bomb Mustard, American cheese and onion rings) and the Earth Quack Club (ground duck, devil on horseback jam, sharp cheddar, lettuce, tomato and onion).
LTO also specialized in salads, milkshakes and cocktails.
The eatery has been closed since the start of the pandemic, and although SC Hosptality Group CEO Renne Boyett said they had considered reopening the location as HabiTap 2.0, a sister concept of the group’s original HabiTap location, the decision was made to double down on the burger concept.
“LTO is such a great neighborhood brand and we think it deserves to come back,” Boyett said.
The restaurant will also be getting a “facelift” of sorts, with a new look and feel, plus some “fun elements” that have yet to be announced.
