Co-owner Joseph Leccese said the Hudson Street location could ideally move toward a projected opening by the first week of December. Still, a confirmed opening date has yet to be announced, with some construction and licensing pending.
The restaurant and specialty food market will be a combined concept and can be divided into three sections: a full dining room with a bar, an outdoor dining area and the market. The market will offer sauces, pasta, pre-made meals and desserts.
Inside, a large Marra Forni pizza oven, painted with the pizzeria’s logo, sits in the corner just waiting to be fired up.
The restaurant’s interior walls are adorned with both urban-style art and classic artwork. The exterior will have areas for al fresco dining and bocce ball, which will likely be used for cornhole from time to time.
