A high-end restaurant chain will be among the new tenants at 300 E. McBee Ave. in downtown Greenville.
The building, which also houses Prisma Health administrative offices, is currently undergoing a $38 million renovation.
Sam Konduros, president and CEO of the Greenville City Economic Development Corp., shared during the Aug. 26 meeting of Greenville City Council that one of the tenants would be STIR restaurant, which has locations in Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina; and Chattanooga and Knoxville, Tennessee.
According to the presentation, the space is about 6,400 square feet and the restaurant would employ 125.
STIR is owned by Chattanooga-based SquareOne Holdings.
The Greenville location will be the chain’s first in South Carolina.
The city of Greenville agreed to partner with the developers of 300 E. McBee to pay for a portion of streetscape renovations.
