Gov. Nikki Haley attended the grand opening ceremony at KI Logistics’ North American headquarters on Monday in Piedmont.
The company, a division of Kimura Inc., initially announced in October 2013 that it would locate its headquarters to South Carolina with an $11.5 million investment for a 206,000-square-foot logistics facility that would create 149 new jobs.
In June 2014, KI Logistics announced it would invest an additional $2.7 million to add an additional 64,000 square feet to the facility and increase job creation by at least 20 more positions. The expansion is expected to be completed in September 2014.
KI Logistics is still hiring for positions including support technicians, customer service representatives, team technicians, and fork lift drivers. Interested applicants should visit readySC.org.
