Spartanburg Community College and Union County Schools are partnering to expand advanced manufacturing workforce training through SCC’s mechatronics program, the college announced May 12.
The articulation agreement between SCC and Union County Schools is designed to create a seamless process to earn college credits for Union County Career & Technology Center students preparing for high-demand careers in automation, robotics and advanced manufacturing.
The collaboration allows eligible students who successfully complete the career and technology center’s mechatronics program to receive articulated credits toward SCC’s mechatronics program. The aim of the dual enrollment program is to reduce students’ cost for higher education and accelerate their entry into the workforce.
