Los Angeles-based music instrument retailer Guitar Center celebrated the grand opening of its Spartanburg store on Thursday.
The company kicked off its fourth store in South Carolina at 1487 W.O. Ezell Blvd. with a live performance by the Charleston-based band Top Jimmy, exclusive savings and gear giveaways.
Guitar Center said it will keep the festivities rolling throughout the weekend at the 10,000-square-foot store and customers can continue to take advantage of special deals on merchandise.
The Spartanburg store features modern showrooms equipped with state-of-the-art products for musicians, including guitars, amps, drums, keyboards, lighting and recording equipment.
It will boast Guitar Center Lessons, an in-house, state-of-the-art music academy for musicians of all ages and skill levels.
Guitar Center said the store will offer an on-site maintenance and repair service for stringed instruments and a rental service for instruments and other gear.
The store will host free classes on various Saturdays through its Guitar Centers Workshops program, which offers introductory instruction on the guitar, ukulele and recording.
Customers will also have access to Guitar Centers’ Singer-Songwriter, Drum-Off and Get Out of the Garage programs, as well as the company’s multi-channel “endless aisle.”
The store will operate from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
