Greenville-based data center services company Immedion has announced its intent to acquire Integral Solutions Group, a full-service information technology company and data center operator based in Spartanburg.

The acquisition, expected to close by the end of September, is subject to customary closing conditions, according to a news release. Financial details of the acquisition have not yet been disclosed, but Immedion said there will be no layoffs.

“Since day one, our passion has been to help local businesses solve their IT problems through the delivery of reliable, secure, and ‘always-on’ solutions,” Immedion CEO Frank Mobley said in a statement. “This continues to be our top priority, and we believe the added capacity and technical resources from Integral will be beneficial as we continue to serve the current and future needs of our markets.”

Founded in 1987 by JM Smith Corp., Integral Solutions Group offers a number of managed services and reliable infrastructure solutions, including co-location, disaster recovery, cloud computing, and off-site backup, according to a news release.

The company currently operates a 6,000-square-foot, purpose-built data center in Spartanburg and has offices in Greenville and Charleston, the release said.

“Partnering with Immedion is a great step to further enhance Managed Service Solutions,” said ISG President Joe Strayer. “Our customers will still get to work with the ISG experts they’ve come to rely on, and the combination of our infrastructure and resources will strengthen the products and services available to them.”

Strayer added that Immedion’s acquisition of ISG is a “win for both our companies, and more importantly, a win for clients in the Carolinas.”

The acquisition will expand Immedion to nine data centers in seven markets, according to the release. The company, which was founded in 2007, operates data centers across South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio, and Indiana.

Immedion, which is headquartered at 78 Global Drive in Greenville, most recently acquired Data Cave, an approximately 86,000-square-foot data center in Columbus, Indiana, and Appica, a data center operator based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Over the past decade, Immedion has won numerous awards, including Small Business of the Year by the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, South Carolina’s 25 Fastest Growing Companies, and the Emerging 30 Award by the Northern Kentucky Chamber.
