The global financial services firm JPMorgan Chase plans to expand in South Carolina with its first retail branch. The firm will also add up to seven branches in the Upstate within the next three years. Fifty local jobs will be created as a result of the new retail branches.
The first branch location at 1075 Tiger Boulevard in Clemson recently held its ribbon cutting. In addition to the seven branches, 14 ATMS are planned for the Greenville area.
JPMorgan Chase’s new locations will allow customers more access to financial services while also opening job opportunities within the community. The positions to be filled locally are for bankers, branch managers, business bankers, and financial advisors.
While the firm has had a presence in the Greenville market with its Commercial Bank and Private Bank, this expansion adds new retail and business banking for clients. JPMorgan Chase will continue efforts for inclusive economic growth by working with local and community partners.
In the past four years, the firm has helped Upstate South Carolina Alliance with the creation of the Upstate Global Competitiveness Council. The organization strives to help local businesses with global competition through an export and foreign direct investment plan.
