Greenville’s Bonafide Kayaks, a company that makes fishing kayaks, is launching a new manufacturing operation that’s expected to create 76 new jobs over the next three years.

According to a press release, the company plans to invest $2 million in the operation, which will be located at 10 Quest Lane in Greenville. We couldn’t be happier to call Greenville our new home,” said Bonafide Kayaks’ CEO Luther Cifers, who also established YakAttack, a kayak fishing accessory brand.

Bonafide Kayaks, which formed in 2016, has spent the past several months developing its first models of kayaks. It recently debut at the iCAST trade show in Arlington, Va.

“In Greenville County, we cherish up-and-coming small businesses. They are the foundation and the future of our strong, diverse economy. We could not be more proud to have Bonafide Kayaks join our great community,” said Greenville County Council Chairman Butch Kirven.
