Lockheed unveils F-16 production line

Lockheed Martin held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday to celebrate the completion of the company’s new F-16 production line.

Lockheed MartinIn 2017, Lockheed announced the move of its F-16 production line from Fort Worth, Texas to Greenville. The move will create around 150 new jobs and deliver production of the F-16 aircraft to international customers.

Those international customers will include the Kingdom of Bahrain, which became the first F-16 Block 70 customer last June, and the Slovak Air Force.

The F-16s manufactured in Greenville will have numerous capability and structural upgrades.

Special guests including U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham and Gov. Henry McMaster attended the event.

Lockheed Martin employs approximately 105,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology.
