Mauldin was ranked as one of the top ten places to live in South Carolina in a recent list by HomeSnacks. The list uses criteria including median income, unemployment rate, crime, education levels, poverty rates and more.
Out of 61 cities, HomeSnacks ranked Mauldin at number three, following closely behind Tega Cay at second and Mount Pleasant at first.

HomeSnacks attributed Mauldin’s success to the city’s median home value of $154,800, an unemployment rate of 6.1 percent, and the sixth lowest crime rate in all of South Carolina.
