Chris Moore promoted to president of CarolinaPower. Moore has been with the company since its inception 20 years ago. Most recently, Moore served as vice president and general manager.
A strong advocate for workforce development, Moore is dedicated to working closely with industry associations and public schools to promote construction trades as a viable career option. He serves on industry advisory boards at Greenville Technical College and Clemson University, sits on the board of the Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas (ABC), and is chairman for the South Carolina Upstate Electrical Contractors Apprenticeship program.
Moore is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree. During college, he participated in a co-op program with CarolinaPower’s sister company, MetroPower, Inc., in Atlanta, Ga., where he was hired upon graduation. He later moved to South Carolina where he established the first office of CarolinaPower near Greenville. Moore’s professional credentials include Master Electrical License (South Carolina and North Carolina).
