Maheen Akhter

has joined Wyche, P.A. in Greenville as a real estate associate. She will focus on commercial real estate with an emphasis on multi-family and commercial development, leasing, and borrower-side financing. Akhter received her Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 2014.


Taegan Jordan

has been hired by Flourish as event specialist. In her new role, Jordan is responsible for supporting Flourish’s event production team. Prior, she completed a three-moth internship with the firm.


Chuck Nicholas

has been honored by The National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) with the Distinguished Service Bronze Plaque—Ninth Honors. He has been the head coach of Bob Jones Academy’s speech and debate team for 35 years. Nicholas also teaches speech, debate, and drama at the school.


Elizabeth Stoffelen

has joined Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas as events and social media coordinator. In her new role, she is responsible for coordinating event management for the House’s six signature events. Stoffelen will drive social media strategy and messaging to spread mission awareness.


Katie Driggs

has been added as the newest practitioner to teach the Erwin Center’s Media Planning & Buying Strategies course at Clemson University. Driggs currently serves as director of media at FerebeeLane in Greenville. She leads media strategy and execution for various brands.


Serendipity Labs recently opened for business in Greenville at 141 Traction St. in the old Plush Mills building. The upscale workspace delivers high-performance coworking, shared office spaces and event venues.

Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop recently celebrated its grand opening at 2222 Augusta St. in Greenville. The pie shop shares the taste of Southern tradition through the family’s time honored recipes and traditional baking methods.
