Shannon Sports joined Upstate Warrior Solution as an employment coordinator.
He served in the South Carolina Army National Guard from 1988 until 2014.
Sports also worked as a Summary Court clerk and a firefighter in Charleston. He was called into federal military service following 9/11 and remained on active duty until his retirement in 2014.
He joined UWS’s fellowship program in 2019 and was hired after his graduation.
