Greenville native, Randy Jackson has been selected as the new executive director for the Phillis Wheatley Association (PWA).
The PWA is a non-profit, community service organization committed to empowering individuals and families by providing educational, cultural, recreational, social, and health-related programs that promote self-sufficiency and enhance quality of life.
According to a press release, Jackson will assume strategic and operational responsibility for PWA’s staff, programs, and mission execution. He will develop positive relationships internally and externally, create and execute a strategic plan, oversee development activities, supervise staff and operations, and manage finances.
Educated in Greenville County Schools, Jackson earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration management at the University of South Carolina. He has been an active member of the community serving on the boards of the Kroc Center, Urban League of the Upstate, and Greenville Housing Futures.
In 2018, he received the Goodwill Industries of the Upstate/Midlands Individual/Family Philanthropist of the Year award.
