Trinity Partners Greenville has taken its services to the next level.
Since 2014, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based commercial real estate agency has steadily grown its property-management portfolio in the Upstate. The company now manages a little over 2 million square feet of commercial space in the region.
Trinity Partners recently added a full-service brokerage platform to its Greenville office for its clients. Adam Colvin, managing partner with Trinity Partners Charlotte, said this addition was a long time coming.
“We have wanted to add brokerage over the years and have talked to a few people, but had not kind of found the right group and fit to do so until late last year,” he said.
In January, Trinity Partners announced the hiring of three new partners, including Edward Wilson, to help establish the company’s brokerage platform. Wilson previously worked at Wilson Kibler and brought 16 years of experience to his new role with Trinity Partners.
Trinity Partners’ brokers provide representation for landlords, tenants, sellers and buyers of commercial spaces in the Upstate. Wilson explained they are also capable of providing project management to clients who are building out existing space or building a new product.
“What I tell people is any time that you’re making a decision that involves commercial real estate, then we can provide advice and services,” Wilson said. “So if it’s not single-family residential, then almost always we can help create value.”
The company’s leadership team saw many advantages in adding brokerage services to the Greenville office. Colvin said the brokerage platform helps make Trinity Partners more competitive in the agency business, particularly as it relates to office, industrial and flex property.
Nicole Oakley, partner and director of property management for Trinity Partners Greenville, said she anticipates the collaboration between the company’s brokerage and property management teams will also provide more growth opportunities for both divisions. For example, the Greenville office plans to soon onboard several new properties that the company would both lease and manage.
Over the last several months, the commercial real estate company has continued to hire additional real estate brokers with experience in the Greenville market. Today, the Greenville office has a team of eight brokers and counting.
“We want to continue growing market share,” Wilson said. “We want to grow our team but we want to do it deliberately with the right people at a controlled pace and take on as many new opportunities as we can as long as we’re not sacrificing the quality of our service.”
