Christ Church Episcopal School, a K-12 independent day school in Greenville, has purchased 22 acres for an undisclosed sum.
The acreage will be used to add a campus entrance on Mauldin Road and expand the school by adding:
- Technology, Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship Center – 22,000-square-foot Upper and Middle School academic building featuring gathering space and a café. The building will also be connected to the Upper School by an elevated, two-story, interior walkway.
- Wellness center – new cafeteria for all divisions, additional exercise facilities for community members, health and wellness classrooms, a lower school gym and space for studio classes.
- Upgraded field space
- Athletic complex – 90,000 square foot facility housing two gymnasiums, a strength and conditioning facility, a large training room, a dedicated wrestling room, support spaces and locker room space for student athletes.
“Each of these additions solves a current need, provides flexibility and space for campus needs of the future, and transforms the campus feel into that of a small college,” said CCES Head of School David Padilla.
Once the expansions are completed, CCES plans to also make its campus fully walkable.
