Since the $75 million redevelopment of Judson Mill, numerous tenants have opened businesses, community entities or recreational activities. In case you were unaware of everything the community has to offer besides the loft apartments, here’s a guide to everything you can do or visit at the redeveloped site.
BlocHaven
BlocHaven is an indoor rock climbing gym that offers the ability for rock climbing, but also has training areas, a yoga studio, cafe, and climbing shop.
Members can have a monthly membership to come in to climb, but visitors can also come in and pay for a daily pass. Classes are also offered, like intro to climbing, but more advanced classes and yoga are also included.
Feed&Seed
Feed&Seed is a local non-profit that works to promote fresh and healthy food for residents, while also supporting local farmers and stimulating the local economy. It offers fresh produce, but also has a Grab&Go section for people on the go, and accepts SNAP/EBT benefits.
Judhub
JudHub is a shared workspace offering shared office space, resources and community connections for non-profits or entrepreneurs. Although very convenient for residents, it is also open for other members of the community as well. With four conference rooms, 15 offices, and other amenities, entrepreneurs or those in need of a conference or meeting space can pay a monthly fee for office spaces. People can also come in with a coworking day pass that allows them to work in the common area for the day.
Coming soon, the JudHub will also begin offering pro bono legal, accounting, marketing and grant-writing services.
CommunityWorks Learning Center
As a way to work with the local community, the non-profit organization CommunityWorks opened CommunityWorks, a new learning center. Located next door to BlocHaven and Feed&Seed, the space allows for entrepreneurs and residents within Greenville to have learning opportunities and resources, like free or afforable training sessions, events, and office hours for people to meet with business coaches.
River Falls Spa
River Falls Spa opened in the Judson Mill this summer, staffed with massage therapists and estheticians to provide facials, waxing and deep tissue massages.
Events at Judson Mill
Events at Judson Mill is a new division of High Spirits Hospitality, which also owns Liquid Catering, Bravo1 Protection, High Spirits Events, and Topside Pool Club, which operate within Greenville. The venue offers The Annex, The West Courtyard, The South Courtyard, and The Smokestack, which can be used as a location for weddings or other corporate or social events.
The Warehouse
Stumpy’s Hatchet House offers axe-throwing for individuals, parties or events, and will be located inside The Warehouse. The axe-throwing franchise makes its debut in South Carolina in the spring of 2023.
The Warehouse will also welcome other tenants, such as Magnetic South Brewery, which is set to open in the first quarter of 2023. The Anderson-based brewery plans to serve food along with its beer selection and offer games inside as well.
Athletic courts and a new restaurant, MillWorks Restaurant, are also set to open in 2o23, although dates have not yet been confirmed.
Cowboy Up Greenville
This live music venue also doubles as a bar and restaurant. At about 10,000-square-feet, Cowboy Up can accommodate a large crowd of people and features state of the art production equipment, with a 30×21 stage and concert-level sound and lighting. The music venue also has a large four-sided bar, a mechanical bull and a style that combines rustic reclaimed wood with sleek metal design.
